I wasn't aware of those numbers for my dogs. I was really lucky to have my Beagles as long as I did. They both outlived their projections.
If Ramsey was a dog..

Scoobie was 12. I hope MJ lives forever. I love her too much. And boy does she know it.

Imagine how hard it would be to lose a dog after nearly 30 years.
These are a few of the oldest dogs on record. #6 ^ Pusuke was a Shiba mix who lived to 26 years. She died in Japan in 2011. #2 ^ Bluey was an Australian Cattle dog. He lived 29 years and 160 days. He died in Australia in 1939. #1 ^ Max was a beagle, dachshund and terrier mix. He lived 29 years and 282 days. He died last year in the US. Wonder dogs. My dog is getting up there (10-11?) but the eyebrows my daughter drew on her the other night take at least 3 years off.

I thought you were kidding, but my niece told me that drawing eyebrows on dogs is a real trend. Case in point: this dirty old dog was showing his age and dragging a bit. So, his best human friend gave him a wicked brow job; really boosted his self-esteem. Now, all the bitches in the neighborhood wanna piece of him. Word has it he chases more tail than MS did between wives.

Cosmo is a doll. He has such a big personality that it manages to cross the internet.

Also enjoys the dog park, except more interested in people there than dogs. Loves swimming. Also capable of entertaining himself with spinning and carpet swimming. Favorite Foods : French Fries, Peanut Butter, Cheese, Pop Tarts. Favorite Quirk : Will turn his head to the side inquisitively if you say, "Do you want?" Favorite Person : Grandpa.

^ Well, if I had a female dog, I'd definitely approve of a chaperoned play date in the dog park with your dog; he's got it all (no shared meals or snacks though -- proper nutrition is key to a shiny coat).
Zero, Cosmo's wink is great. He really does exude big personality.

Thanks Duchess and HotD. Cosmo is the best dog I have ever had. Smart, energetic and affectionate. He has one cat playmate at home and is getting a second, his own kitten, this Wednesday.

Cute pic of Cosmo in the other thread, Zero. He seems like a good vacation traveler.
Ironing Broad: She's alright, despite the feline-ass fetish. Wonder if she's busy chasing cats around these days -- haven't seen the bitchy Broad around here in a bit.
