Don't take my comment as defense of Obama, it's not.

What did you find offensive?

I actually agreed with his assessment.

Me too. But it's not like I hate the current POTUS though...28

I think it's unfair to find no redeeming qualities, concerning Cheney.

He did shoot an attorney . . . that's a plus.

I'm tired of the whole Bush/Cheney caused the current problems in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It's akin to blaming FDR for the failed Social Security system.

He gets point for shooting an attorney. But, I wouldn't consider it an act worthy of respect -- now, if it had been done with premeditation or intent...

Seriously, I don't blame Bush/Cheney for all of the current problems in Iraq and Afghanistan. Some of the same problems and turmoil-motivators have been in play for thousands of years and we might have ended up being there later anyway for different reasons (or not, impossible to know).

I do, however, hold them responsible for their blatant lies to sell the US and global populations on an Iraqi invasion when there was no true and compelling public-supported reason for the US to invade the country and send our troops there.

Most significantly... their oft-spewed propaganda claiming that Hussein possessed WMDs and was a supporter and ally of al-Qaeda. As you know, both since proven false and known to be false when the Bush administration delivered them to the global public audience again and again and again.

I expect lies and spin from politicians, but those were massive and wide-reaching -- some of what's going down in Iraq today is clearly a direct repercussion of those lies and the actions that they were used to justify, IMO.

So, while I don't think that the US or Bush/Cheney are to blame for all of the shit going down in Iraq, we/they contributed to - if not caused - some of the shit that is going down today and how it's playing out, IMO.

No argument with your assessment.

This includes WMD and the al-Qaeda association.

I now must give them credit for creating the most "unfixable" problem the modern world has known.

I'm not joking.

It's clear that "all the King's horses and all the King's men" can't put things right and are completely impotent to correct this problem.

And to think, we have a Nobel Peace Prize winner holding the reigns (SIC).

I expect our leaders to move the ball down the field and score.

All I see is a fumbled hand-off, excuses and blame . . . for over half a decade.

Remember the good ol' days when our biggest problem was a Prez that couldn't keep it in his pants.

There are probably better examples but I didn't pay attention to politics before then.

I don't want to bang him, I want to play chess with him.

He's one of my fantasy dinner guests too.

I don't think Monika banged him.

I know she didn't visit the dry cleaners, too.

That was the second "sucks for you", from her to Bill.

I don't want to hum on Bill either. I'm interested in his mind & I'd make him a sammich because I think he's too thin now.

I don't know why . . . really I don't . . . but I'm felling a little sad, for you, right now.

Maybe it's because I secretly want you to have a physical relationship with a man you obviously admire?

Who knows?

Weird.

I don't view Bill that way. I don't have a girly boner for him. I really do just want to play chess & listen to him talk.

There you go! Ripping my little fantasy for your physical pleasure right out from under me!

What a cruel and selfish thing to do on a Friday.

Goddamned ingrate!

You could have lied and moved on.

Bitch!

Party poopin' (yeah . . . that's right . . . poopin') bitch!

I think I might be skeeved out of my mind if I glanced down and saw Bill Clinton's head between my thighs. Oh god. I drawn the line at white haired heads but I'm cool with some gray.
