Not all Mexicans are illegal! Hell, over half of the ones in my family have docs.
When it comes to illegal aliens being a threat (rather than a real or perceived drain on the economy), I'm way more concerned about jihadists than our Mexican neighbors (or even those within my family).
It was a cakewalk for jihadists to mosie in and take out the twin towers just over a decade ago. And, the US government, as of this year, no longer has the latitude to monitor domestic cell and electronic communications for terrorist communications as they did for the 12 years following 9⁄11 (which is good for domestic privacy assurance; not necessarily good for national security, IMO).
I agree that in some ways we're more of a threat to ourselves. A growing threat stems from American citizens joining, training, and fighting for jihadist groups in the Middle East. It's only a matter of time before some of those crazy bastards try to come home and bring that bullshit with them. It's a serious concern for all western governments -- especially England's, whose citizens account for the majority of the effin' unstable western wanna-be jihadists (unsurprisingly).

Yeah never mind the jihadists, lets crack down on bus loads of migrant children because they might cost us too much money at the ER for colds and sniffles.

I say send them all to Fla. and let them hang out. It's like a game of "Hot potato" with people. I think I it gets way to cold for them here.

We need more authentic Cuban restaurants here.
So, I'll swap sally say 10,000 illegal Cubans from Florida for 10,000 illegal Mexicans from California.
I'll even throw in one of my cousins (she's a great cook -- she's legal, but I'll throw her in anyway because she's kind of a whiner).

They all are in Fl. and I welcome them, I don't give a shit if they learn English or not. When the city has to cut down trees from around the power lines thirty Mexicans jump out of the truck. Good luck with the americans on that one, the whole state would go to shit.

Maggot's trying to set the stage for an NH swap here, I suspect.
But, I don't really think NH's Sudanese population (nor MS's Somalians) would like it that much here in the Golden State.
So, no go.

I will trade 10 Canadians for a doctor from Guatemala. I could rent him out for treatment and a room.

I don't have a spare doctor from Guatemala, but I wouldn't mind the 10 Canadians.
How about a doctored up tub of Guacamole for 5 Canadians?
That, I can do.

Good idea. The authorities already have some quarantined because they bought the swine flu with them when they entered.

Are you serious? You really need it explained to you?
I'm quite certain he believes I've run around Mock divulging the contents of private messages & that's why some of you are calling him a crybaby.

If you get accused of it you might as well do it then. You're pretty tight with other peoples personal shit. Watertight like a frogs ass.

Well, I agree with FAHQTOO that needing to have it explained makes CN not only a cry-baby, but an ignorant cry-baby.
I do very little name-calling and I've called CN a cry-baby bitch several times. I'll indulge him and explain why so that his apparent ignorance in the matter doesn't mature into obvious stupidity.
WHY CN IS A CRY-BABY BITCH, by HOTD
If there are really more private communications, aside from the ones that led aussie to tell us that CN was seriously "pissed off and it ain't pretty" in regards to CN's departure from Mock, I don't need to see them to stand by my assessment that CN is a cry-baby bitch.
Aussie's a mental health professional, after all, and CN hasn't denied those private communications or her assessment, so that's one reason I consider CN to be a cry-baby bitch.
However, I considered her a cry-baby bitch even before she took off to "recharge". For weeks leading up to her departure, she was incessantly whining and seriously claiming to be victimized and discriminated against here at Mock -- in regards to Maggot, me, sally, etc... She earned the crown of "dish it out, but can't take it", hands-down. That's another reason that I consider CN to be a cry-baby bitch.
The cherry on top was when she logged back in to proclaim that she was an "EX-MOCK MEMBER -- never to return" (seriously), placing that vow under her avatar -- an avatar which happens to depict an unhappy baby, appropriately enough. For months, that dramatic promise was attached to every single comment that she's posted over her 6 years on the board. She made that proclamation weeks after leaving (and likely festering in her own bitter tears) amidst her redundant and delusional claims of being smarter, more compassionate, blah, blah, blah than everyone else here.
Since her lackluster return, my opinion that CN is a cry-baby bitch hasn't changed, except that now I see her as an ignorant, lying, cry-baby bitch. "I left because I was bored of you incestuous morons". Clearly, that's bullshit, but she refuses to honestly answer ramsey's and sally's inquiries about why she left (so add "coward" to the list, as well).
I do think that CN truly believes the "incestuous" part, though. I think it bugs the shit outta her that people here can have funny, smart (and sometimes just mundane) exchanges and sparring without it affecting their emotional and mental well-beings, and without melting down like a bunch of cry-baby bitches. That's a concept she seems unable to grasp.
That is why I consider CN to be a cry-baby bitch.

I thought that ^^^ was obvious to everyone, I guess not. What else should we call him after making a dramatic exit and then returning? Cry-baby bitch seems fitting enough.

Those who want open borders don't live near a mexican border where the cartels dump their headless bodies in the desert 40 miles from where kids go to school.

immigration legislation? The laws are there, just enforce them. Spineless politicians is what it amounts to. What needs to be done is an easier way to become a citizen but that would take money away from the spaghetti system that's there now. Just enforce the laws on the books bitches.

Any country you travel to across the globe requires you to carry your papers with you when you're abroad. The US shouldn't be any different.

Even for the healthy immigrant children who cross or attempt to cross our borders, it does cost the US a lot of money. It's not the kids' faults, but what should we do with them?
Currently, they're placed with the Dept. of Human and Health services until they can be deported back, but that sometimes takes years and it's not cheap to properly care for them in the meantime. Plus, should we really be sending kids back to the place that sent them off unaccompanied in the first place?
I don't have the answers, but President Obama has just requested $3.7 billion to address the current crisis and is expected to propose modifications to the 2008 laws/policies in the near future.
Here's a story on the new budget request: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/07/08...67258.html

I don't know what the answer is. I know so many of them want a better life. Yesterday (or the day before) I read of a 14 yr old that had spent many months making his way from someplace deep in South America. All he wants is a chance. He was caught once and sent back over the border so now he waits there hoping for another opportunity. He left his parents, his family to try to make a better life for himself. The cartels had begun trying to recruit at his school, there is no work, no money to be made outside of unlawful endeavors. I'm not without compassion for them even though I rarely voice it.

And therein lies the danger. How many of those kids "just looking for a chance" are already involved with the cartels personally or by blood relative? Those are the kinds of residuals that will endanger legal Americans for years to come should we give them unabated access. Cartels down here are no joke. They find bodies in the desert daily. Some expired from heat exhaustion and hypothermia, others headless or beaten and still others shot (by either cartels, homeowners or BP) with loads of drugs strapped to their backs. It's vicious down here.
