Guess I'm in the 21st Century
#1
Well the technical era has just advanced to the next level of removing the human element "paying" for dining. There was an Ipod looking device on our table, (it's label said: Ziosk) never saw one before at a restaurant. That let us play games like scrabble, poker, trivia, etc, against others there, while wating for our dinner. It was entertaining, to say the least.

Now also on this device, was a "pay bill" button, so when selected after dinner, it showed our receipt on the screen, and showed a sliding percentage scale for tipping. It was interesting, and easy to use, guess I was using 21st Century technology! What's next, will it tie my shoe laces for me?

(Oh yeah, there was a "$2 charge added on to the automated bill for "Playing those games". hah)

Yep, we like the ribs there, we had a late lunch, and the 21st century tech stuff. Guess you have it by you, never saw it here before. It was pretty cool. (Do "they" still use cool, even if not, I still do. hah )

I still say cool. I went to Chili's about a month ago and they had those little gadgets.

I hope they sanitize those things between costumers. Chances are, they probably wiped it down with the same dirty bar rag they've been using on the last 12 tables.

Yep again, that's why we both carry personal size hand sanitizer bottles. And we wash our hands with it before we eat, especially even after we handle the "constantly handled" menus. hah

I really dislike touching things that others have touched, particularly doorknobs.

I didn't know it was mandatory to wear a costume to Chilis. Probably why I got shit service.

Again, if I have to touch a doorknob, railings, chairs, elevator button, anything that any one else touched, I use my hand wash! (I always have it in my pocket, I have to refill it frequently)
Howie Mandel has nothing on me. hah
