New Years eve I got a call as I was coming home from work. It seems my Son put his arm through the breezeway window closing the door by pushing on it or pissed because he was told to close the door. I spent from 5-11:30 in the emergency room till he was stitched up, x-rays, blood work etc.
Has anyone had to go through some New Years craziness?
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Poor little guy :(
No, I have nothing on that level but I do have a story. One of my friends is a "picker" and I often look up things for him, he doesn't use the internet. He went to an estate auction and bought a locked filing cabinet for $5.00. Inside was an old Leica camera in mint condition. The lowest price I found for it was $2000.00. We were laughing and slapping on each other. It was very cool to give him news like that.

It's always a little crazy when a bunch of my family is under one roof, but not in a bad way.
Nobody got hurt (physically) last night or in the wee hours, but a couple of us are hurting a bit this morning.
I hope your son's okay Maggot; that really sucks.

How many stitches did he get? Now at least he'll have a cool scar on his arm when he gets back to school.
When my son was 5 he almost ripped the back of his calf off on a chain link fence, I about had a heart attack when I ran around the side of the house and saw him just standing there with his calf hanging down like a slab of meat. I think he got like 60 stitches and was on crutches for almost a month.

I remember that story. Much worse than what we went through.I'm not sure how many stitches, I had brought my daughter home to feed her when they were stitching and I asked the Professor how many and she said she didn't know I think 20 or something.

20 stitches is a major cut Maggs.
I hope it heals well.

Yep that's nothing to sneeze at.
I've never had stitches for anything other than a couple of surgeries. My son has already had stitches on his wrist which was another fence incident and his thumb when he somehow stabbed it with a swiss army knife. Must be a boy thing.

I broke up with a guy I was living with once on Christmas (nice, right?). So New Year's Eve I slept on the living room floor. When I woke up, the damn kitten he'd given me a few weeks earlier had shit all over my pillow. It didn't seem like a good omen for the coming year.
Sorry about your son, Maggot! Boys...

How's the little Professor doing, Maggot? He must have been so scared when he saw all the blood. Being frightened is a horrible feeling.

He has a temper that I'm trying to quell before he becomes a teenager, He is doing fine and went for a quick checkup yesterday. No swelling or puffiness, he takes the pink anti biotic well now because we mix it with ice cream. He's such a stinker about the medicine, it was tough to get him to take it without a half hour of fake gagging and fuss.

Oh yeah. My son was a medicine gagger/spitter too. Pissed me off; I'd never know how much he actually got in to his system.
I think he was at least twelve before he finally learned to swallow pills.

I never minded that pink antibiotic stuff when I was a kid, it kind of has a faint taste of banana. Now cough syrup like Nyquil or any other cherry flavored shit, that stuff is rough. I'd almost rather suffer than take it.
