One thing Elway is not afraid of is pulling the trigger at QB. No matter who it is. I disagree. If Denver makes a playoff run and Peyton is healthy, he's your starter. I'd bet the farm on that.

I don't think they will "let" him be healthy. I think if the kid continues to win Peytons injury becomes a season ender.

I'll chime in here.
There's no way Peyton makes either of those deep sideline balls that Osweiler completed on the late regulation drive.
Also, everybody knows that Peyton's productivity in cold weather has really diminished.
I think the Broncos (and particularly Elway) will decide to go with the young guy.

I don't care either way, play, don't play, but I would like to see him get the respect he is owed.

Ossweiler (sp?) is the future of the franchise, a young, healthy 6'8" stud who can run or throw, is comfortable in Kubiaks West coast offensive scheme, and has shown he can thrive in high pressure games. Peyton is wounded, aging and nowhere near the QB he was. Damn straight Elway will make a change.

Oh and BTW... Kubiak emphasized Sunday night that Manning will remain the Broncos' starter "if he's healthy and ready to go."

MS' NFL Power Rankings thru Week 12:
1. CAROLINA. Defense is really good, and Cam is making plays.
2. NEW ENGLAND. How long will Gronk & Edelman be out? The million dollar question. Pats are vulnerable without them.
3. DENVER. Manning out, season over, right? Apparently not.
4. ARIZONA. Gritty, ugly divisional road win in SF. Cards control their destiny.
5. CINCINNATI. Dalton & Co. pounded the Rams, who are in free-fall mode. Can still capture #1 overall seed in AFC with a little luck.
6. MINNESOTA. Next 2 weeks will shed light on how legit this Vikings squad is: Seattle at home, @ Ariz 4 days later.
7. KANSAS CITY. 5 straight W's, including latest over WC contender Buffalo. They are streaking.
8. GREEN BAY. 4 losses in last 5 games and Rodgers doesn't have faith in his WR's. Big choke at home with Favre and Starr in the house.
9. SEATTLE. Offense is really taking off and now, if the D ever puts it back together, they'll be dangerous in January.
10. HOUSTON. Left for dead a month ago, Texans D has come to life and put them back in the thick of the AFC playoff race.

Ain't nobody coming out on tv and saying Peyton Manning got benched. Dude is a legend. But they aren't going to scrap a shot at a Superbowl with a lame duck qb just to soothe his ego. Elway won't allow it. Not on what is essentially his team.
