The best ones were 1930-1940's they were realistic and had stories to them.

I turn off all my lights so it's pitch black and play the the 1976 Omen theme song from a loud speaker. It seems to scare the kids more than skeletons and vampires and crap.

And I chain my pit bull to the tree so when they walk by she lunges at them. Scares the shit out of them everytime.
