I've flown into SoCal 5 or 6 times in the last 10'years and as you clear the mountains and start the descent toward the ocean is when you'd normally notice the haze hovering over everything.

I feel like it's been pretty good my last couple of times there.

I read recently that pollution from China is settling in to California's central valley. Assholes.

Pollution was VERY bad in the 70's/80's. I was a little kid when we moved there but I remember orange skies. I also found out, much later, that a beach we used to go to was the site of some massive toxic dumping (which later ceased). I'm so dead.
