Here's the thing with my chanel glasses, wait for it.................I paid $200 for them off Ebay! I couldn't believe it either. My health insurance wouldn't give me any money back on it because I didn't buy them from a registered optometrist. But they covered my lenses. All up for the lenses I think I was out of pocket $40. Not bad. The thing, they really are so beautiful and such high quality to wear, I am afraid to wear them. So I haven't. I have stuck them in their case and maybe will wear them at the Mock Christmas party this year.
I have 3 other pair of glasses I alternate, my granny glasses that Sally hates, my face to face glasses which cost around $800 but again, I got them off ebay when I was an undergraduate and they are still good. And my other Chanel glasses which I am wearing in that latest pic I posted. I don't give a shit about class really. I just like nice stuff that's all. I may joke about class, but at the end of the day, I am very working class and apply that in my working life. It's just my job these days can afford me some other little things, which I appreciate.

She looks Sallyish in the picture. Kind of the same way my three year old daughter looks like my husband, but that doesn't mean my daughter looks like a fat old guy with a beard. She just has similar features.

listen here Fat Albert, I just said what I paid, which is a bargain for the frames. As for you wearing $12 glasses, that's repulsive.
You really don't want to clean up your act do you? That's your call not mine. No glasses can be just fashion. Glasses can be functional, and glasses can be fashionable and functional. Just because you neglect yourself and the way you present yourself to the world does not mean the rest of us have to follow your example.

I would fork out the money if I had to wear glasses and found a pair that looked great on me but also happened to be expensive. Same thing with clothes, I don't care about the brand or price tag, I just care that it looks good on me.
I don't understand hand bags though. I don't know why anyone would pay thousands of dollars for a stupid bag.

Which makes my $5 investment not only a highly functional one, but a multi-functional one.

I imagine retiring young would be a great thing for you, Mags.
Some men get too bored and regret it. But, you seem to have a lot of cool hobbies and projects and will probably be even busier and happier when your time is just your own and your family's. I hope you get to do it Pepere. |
