Three words I never say at home because I have no reason to are nigger, pray and God. Since my daughter started kindergarten she has called the cat a stupid nigger and prayed to god for him. This is just stuff that she hears between the pledge of allegiance and kids dropping the N bomb, she doesn't even grasp what it means. I don't know where she got praying for the cat from because it's a public school, but I'm sure she picked that up from some little holy roller out on the playground.

I'm suddenly (and quite surprisingly) not so irritated that my private health insurance runs me about $9K annually.

Yeah . . . I've lost a few service perks and gained a few more hoops to jump through.

But no major co-pays and free scripts.

However . . . the poor bastards purchasing the Obama Silver Plan option are seeing their monthly rates jumping from about $200 to $450!

And with a 20% co-pay to boot.

Gotta love Arizona . . . illegals on Medicaid with no deductibles and losing 7 insurers participating in the great " We have to pass it so we can read it" plan.

I sold a bunch of shares this morning. The media down here is really getting on the Trump bandwagon. People are starting to get the jitters about what it means for the economy if Trump wins.

Time to keep some cash on the sideline in case the market tanks....then it's time for another spending spree..

It's a shame the US can't elect a leader with the same rigour it will export freedom to parts of the world it thinks need it.. this fucking election feels like it has gone on longer than the current President's term.

I am finally getting fucking sick to death of my house and working on my house. Besides a small punch list, it's done but I've been spray painting those clear little plastic containers that sit under plants FFS. And buying furniture. Good furniture: kitchen table, leather sofa/loveseat, family room couch and bad furniture: welded metal storage container for the garage, an outside waterproof storage box for shit that I don't want in the garage and a new storage unit for the laundry room (that, since I've lost my mojo, I haven't even opened yet).

My husband has been talking about going to Hawaii for Thanksgiving for a few months and finally told me 3 weeks ago where he wanted to go....the Kona Coast. It appealed to me but I told him in no uncertain terms we weren't getting a nice place this late in the game-no way. Sent out 3 Flip Key emails. Turns out a god damn STUNNER that was booked over a year ago....the renters had canceled just two days prior to my email to the owner. We got it. Right on the water on the Kona Coast (on a little bay just about a mile from the resorts). When my husband saw the price he said..."you realize this is per night, right"? Damn straight....you don't get that type of place for nothing but I actually got the guy to come down in price--he was afraid no one would be looking at this late stage.

9 nights. Heaven.

P.S. If you're ever interested in some quality, old fashioned solid hardwood, 8 way hand tied sofas and such (at a reasonable price) check out this site: www.clubfurniture.com. I'm buying our leather couches and a fabric sofa from them. Not all their pieces are 8 way, hand tied but they're quality regardless (especially if you go custom vs. "quick ship"--I noticed a few pieces in the quick ship category were imported). My leather sofas will be 8 way, hand tied...I think I opted for the other spring system they have for our family room couch.
