Weird that lying & being disingenuous during a job interview doesn't bother some of you.
Short term, really great for Democrats. I do feel so sorry for those who will be affected by this confirmation in regards to gay rights, women's rights, things like that. It's pretty awful that as a country we will be taking a step backwards.

I heard Ginsburg is retiring next year.

He's confirmed. I have no faith that he will be fair to all those who come before him & I worry that others will lose rights :(

Sure he is a Constitutionalist as Gorsuch is and as Scalia was, BUT it would have simply meant that things that were not in the Constitution he would either not make decisions on and/or would send it to the States to sort out their own individual legislation. However, with the attacks against him and his family, I am NOW thinking any Liberal agenda is in trouble and that is all due to the very people in the Media, Democratic Party and the Liberals online and offline that directed so much hate and smear at him. All of those people will reap the whirlwind of their own abhorrent actions and have only themselves to blame.

So you're saying he *is* a corrupt, partisan judge that isn't capable of being fair and unbiased.

I am saying you do not get to hang the impartialness of his station over his head like the Sword of Damocles in which everyoone gets to do their best to ruin him and he does not get to hit back. In other words you all had your shot to hurt him and now it is his turn. Don't claim victimhood though when the shoe is on the other foot.

He did lie.
I am glad this part is over. That was a long couple of weeks. I love Alyssa Milano. She is rocking it! Ginsburg is not retiring next year.

"Health In 1999, Ginsburg was diagnosed with colon cancer; she underwent surgery that was followed by chemotherapy and radiation therapy. During the process, she did not miss a day on the bench.[106] Ginsburg was physically weakened by the cancer treatment, and she began working with a personal trainer. Since 1999, Bryant Johnson, a former Army reservist attached to the Special Forces, has trained Ginsburg twice weekly in the justices-only gym at the Supreme Court.[107][108] In spite of her small stature, Ginsburg saw her physical fitness improve since her first bout with cancer; she was able to complete 20 full push-ups in a session before her 80th birthday.[107][109] On February 5, 2009, she again underwent surgery, this time for pancreatic cancer.[110][111] Ginsburg had a tumor that was discovered at an early stage.[110] She was released from a New York City hospital on February 13 and returned to the bench when the Supreme Court went back into session on February 23, 2009.[112][113][114] On September 24, 2009, Ginsburg was hospitalized in Washington DC for lightheadedness following an outpatient treatment for iron deficiency and was released the following day.[115] On November 26, 2014, she had a stent placed in her right coronary artery after experiencing discomfort while exercising in the Supreme Court gym with her personal trainer.[116][117]" Now tell me has she had Colon Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, and a stent in her heart? Yes or no? Is it shit or not shit? Yes or no? If it is true and if it is not shit then we can ask a further couple of questions: Having had Cancer in two organs, is it likely or even probable that it will reoccur and is it more likely with her being aged that preexisting health issues like this likely to come back and more virulently? If you say no, then I must tell you that my experience with people suffering from Cancer has been very different from yours. Cancer is one of those things that even when it is completely gone and irradiated and excised away it seems to be all good and then back it comes somewhere else and worse than it was. It is ALWAYS just in remission not cured.

Those rights were at risk the minute Donald Trump was elected though. He promised ultra conservative religious judges during the campaign. That was key to his election. Since then, he’s been keeping that promise and working to maintain support from about 40% of the country by widening the divide and anymosity between them and the other 60%. Uniting the country and representing all its citizens in not part of this administration’s agenda. Anyway, since all the judges President Trump has nominated or will be nominating are the picks of the conservative religious Federalist Society, the civil rights and liberties you mentioned would unfortunately have been at risk no matter which of the judges on that list was confirmed to the Supreme Court, in my opinion.

Kavanaugh, specifically, is a big win for Trump and his devotees because of his unique opinions regarding severely limiting the Congress’s and the judiciary’s ability to check the President’s authority and to hold the Executive branch accountable for violations.
Fortunately, I think a lot of US citizens are much more aware of what’s at stake than they were 2 years ago. I hope that motivates massive voter turnout in November which takes the congress out of full Republican control and motivates massive voter turnout in 2020 which results in electing a President committed to uniting and representing all US citizens. That’s the way to put the country on a better course regardless of the current Supreme Court’s composition. We’ll have to live with that ideological composition for the foreseeable future, in no small part due to the cheating of that cocksucka Mitch McConnell. ‘)
