You're not the first person I've seen express a desire for one of them. They must be super special.
I don't think they're super special. It's a gadget, just like any other Man toy. I just know the hubs has been looking at them online, and sighing wistfully. It's not something he would get for himself, not a 'necessity'. I hope he's surprised, I had to sell a shit load of tie dye to be able to afford it. He better play with the fucker for more than a week.
They've come down a lot in price, since they first came out. Amazon has cheapies for around $200.00
I got this one, based on ratings in PC Magazine:
It was priced out at $1,100.00 but I cashed in about $500.00 in gift cards that I've collected over the last few years - Now I just have to get the filaments.

That one's not even listed in any of the review sites I checked out.
The lulzbot mini was rated #2 in pcmag: top 10-pc mag
The lulzbot-taz6 was rated best of the best on best reviews
and the lulzbot mini was rated Best for beginners on lifewire
It looks like the 3DWOX DP200 3D Printer has a lot of good reviews on amazon though- 5 star with 100 individual reviews- either way, it's moot at this point, the one I bought is already wrapped and under the tree.

Without fail
I went on my yearly shopping spree
for myself.
I will wait to purchase any gifts until the very end. (I mean so far I did get socks for people) : )

I truly love it when I get socks -- the work-wearable kind, not the ones with bells or tassels attached.
I always start the year with like 20 pairs of matching socks and end the year with a bunch of mismatches. It's a mystery.
My niece got us each a bag of 10 pairs of white socks and 10 pairs of black ones at the Sketchers outlet two weeks ago, just because we needed them. It's awesome.
Today I got the company Christmas cards mailed. And, I got us a full-sized crock pot for the holidays at Big Lots. I've had a little one that's only good for shrimp and cut meat for a few years. Getting old here -- I'm overly excited to slow cook a pork shoulder in the big bad new one.
(I also bought myself make-up brushes and a bedspread while I was there, even though I promised myself I'd stick strictly to the list. )

Whew, I don't feel so guilty now. Thanks.
Enjoy the crock pot! I have always wanted to use one, but it is just myself so it didn't seem to make sense, unless I made a meal for a week.
I miss doing the company christmas cards, that was always fun.

I saw that the other day. It's the best-selling product on Amazon. It does look really cool. But, I don't need all those options and have really limited counter space. The one I got yesterday is a Hamilton Beach slow-cooker -- basic functions but a lot bigger than what I've got now.

I just bought online gold toe black tights, Hanes black and bronze pantyhose, and some Jockey white panties. All for under $50. WOO!

You can find everything on eBay and at 206 bucks I'd says that's a steal. I might poke my eye out just so I have a reason to buy one.

Do you ever buy stuff for your skin or special products to use while shaving? How your skin & teeth look is as important as any outfit.

I may have to drive through a snowstorm Saturday to get to my Christmas party. I'm supposed to give a speech and help hand out gifts. I freaking hate it.

What fricken storm? We're supposed to get 3 to 6 inches. Don't be a chicken pussy. I'm going to a pot festival in Maine tomorrow

You're right, what I worry about is all the people that have forgotten how to drive in the snow. Every year I take my time on the first snow. Usually I go into a vacant lot and drive around slamming on the brakes and spinning around just to get used to it again. Then I'm good.
