More than likely it was an older version, and I was just being an ass. I'm surprised that your mom let you use her machine, my egg donor wouldn't let me near hers. Yeah I was surprised too. She was a bit overprotective most of the time. No surprise that I ended up lazy and not very ambitious and living with mom and dad until I was in my 30's and then living with dad until last year.

Are you referring to your mother? Given everything I've read of yours it looks like you are the polar opposite of her. I know what you do for your kids and your step-daughter and her kids too.
Yeah, I haven't talked to her in over a year, and, other than pictures, she hasn't seen my kids since they were babies.

My Grandmother bought me my first machine when I was 6, I took the opportunity to sew the sleeves of all my Dad's work shirts shut, he was not impressed...

Women can get like that over a machine, when my stepdaughters were interested in sewing, I went out and bought them a machine from a thrift shop to learn on. The last time I let someone borrow one of my machines the repair bill was over $300.00. Never again.

I have so many lights on the house right now, Hubs thinks a helicopter's going to mistake it for a landing pad.

She's not into toys anymore so I don't know. She likes clothes and arts and crafts stuff. We probably will make a trip to Disney Springs and maybe Epcot. No magic kingdom though, I despise that place.

I don't even have a Christmas tree yet. We went last night to Lowe's and they didn't have shit. I'm not spending 60 bucks on a half dead 4 ft tree. There is another place that is selling them so will try there tonight.

I got a tree yesterday, they took it to the fire and cut 3" off the bottom and threw it into my snow filled truck. I got it home and picked it up .................it was a frozen solid tree it must have weighed 150 lbs I had a rough time walking it through the snowbank on my shoulder. I plopped it at my front door, went in had a beer.
I put the thing standing up in the corner and this morning was picking up the puddle that had soaked up in the newspaper that was laid down. Artificial is the way right after Christmas i'm getting the kind you just pop up like an umbrella with all the shit on it.

You know how you get what you pay for in regards to paper products? Well, the same applies to artificial trees. Just a tip, kid.

After Christmas is the best time to get an artificial tree, they're like 90% off then.
I thought that I was all done with shopping, then the grandbrat reminded me that he wanted a microscope and I told him last summer that I'd get him one for Christmas. Fuck the stores, I'm off to Amazon...

Our Lowe's didn't have much of a selection either.
You might wanna check out Home Depot if that other place doesn't pan out.
We got a really full 8-footer there this weekend for $80 (with enough full branch clippings off the base to make a wreath).

The tree farm that brings them in from NC was sold out, but I actually ended up getting a really nice one from Wal-Mart. They had some cool decorations too. I gotta give it up to that hell hole this Christmas.

Yes, it is. Thank you! I'm having serious second thoughts about it and will be hitting the after Christmas sales so I can go a different route next year. My intention was for it to give off a winter wonderland type vibe but it's not doing that and it looks more hoity toity than I'm comfortable with. *cringe*

I don't find it hoity toity at all, but it is seriously elegant and gorgeous.

It has the winter wonderland vibe. I switch my tree up every year, but I like an all white tree the best. I don't think it looks hoity toity at all, but if you want a more rustic feel you could try adding some frosted pine cones. If they dont look good it won't be like you wasted much money. You can probally find them outside and just spray the tips white.

So......I was dog sitting this weekend for a family that had an emergency. I was walking the dog outside and checking out the side of the house and there was the Christmas tree ready to put up when they get home.
And the dog starts peeing on it.
I couldn't catch him in time! But I did yank his leash! He just looked at me so confused.
