No, I don't get Black Friday off but I'll I'll probably take it off anyway. There's a Black Friday Brunch at a cigar shop(not the one I go to now but one to which used to go). You can smoke cigars and eat egg, bacon, sausages and cheese breakfast sandwiches made to order.

I got out my Christmas tree this morning. It's up and plugged in, I haven't fluffed it yet. I got it from King of Christmas a few years ago. It's flocked and is the nicest tree I've ever owned. I don't decorate it heavily and most people probably wouldn't care for it because there is no color on it. I usually only put glass icicles & glass snowflakes on it, but this year I'm putting black velvet bows on it too. I hope it looks like it does in my head, but things don't always work out the way I'd like them to.

Should I put my Christmas tree up too? To bring the Spirit of Christmas into your home you have to work at it and make it happen. I really want to have a wonderful Christmas.

It's up, but not decorated yet. We bought a 3 foot prelit tree a few years back that fits perfectly in our bay window. I completely culled down most of the Christmas stuff, went from 20 totes down to 2.

I won't put one up until I get back from Thanksgiving. I will purchase a permit from the forest service for $15 and go out and find one.
I got lucky last year and found one that was recently downed and easy to get to. Not sure where I will look this year. I want it to be in walking distance from my house.
I do have a cute little fake tree in my storage.

This is perfect! Can you film it? I know that's a lot to ask.

Sure! I will do my best.
I took some pics from last year-don't recall if I did video or not. It was easier in the snow, if there is no snow this year I don't know what I'll do.
ALSO
I am ready to just be in a box until Jan 1 and pass up All of the holidays.
I will never figure out a way to get around them in peace and or w/out pissing somebody off. Obviously living in the fucking mountains isn't enough I still have to deal with drama.
Okay rant over.
I actually enjoyed Christmas last year-because I didn't have to listen to endless music in stores from Halloween on and I wasn't inundated with commercials and radio songs-it was just a peaceful little life in the woods.

The neighbor teenager just came to my work with a shopping list and some cash for gifts for her mom. She wanted to know if I could order them on Amazon for them.
It is so freaking sweet.
So I cleared my cart, added her items and she will come over tonight to go through them all to see if any adjustments need to be made.
She can be such a stinker, this was so sweet tho. But also....I am wondering how many of these things she will use also!

Thanks, Cars! I was going to post a picture of my tree until I realized it looks identical to my tree from last year and the year before...and the year before. You get the idea. For the first time that bothers me.

Well your pic is beautiful! And I hope Aussie did decorate!
I got my tree today, 2 actually. 1 for the porch and 1 for inside.
I didn't record myself getting the tree. I did take some pictures. It was not as cool as last years adventures or previous years. I basically drove to the location and walked a little ways until I found a good tree.
