Inflation . . . . .
#1
. . . . . .. $2,000 in 1957 equates to $16,634 today.

. . . . . . In 1957 $2,000 was a lot of money. You could buy a brand new car (like chevy) between $2,500 to $3,500 dollars.

Today, $16,634 dollars is still/just enough to buy you a chevy Sonic.

Is inflation affecting you?

My cereal boxes are skinny now with less in them. Ice cream is sold in smaller packages and beer just went up a buck a few weeks ago.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Bastards!

Everything seems to be expensive as hell lately

Could be because I have been broke most of the last year

The beef prices in my grocery store have doubled,   and there's less of a selection.     I'm not worried about it,  until my freezer goes out.

Coincidentally,  someone asked me to sew a custom flag for him the other day.   I gave him a price of 60 dollars.  He's mad, because in 1978, he paid 30 for the same flag.   He doesn't have the pattern,  and he's not providing material,  but he thinks 30 is a fair price.    WITAF?

This is  the  flag he wants,  this image is a sticker,  I have to make a pattern to scale, before I can even think about cutting fabric....
