Sally, have you heard of smashed potatoes? Smashed. They are a thing.

I remember Rachael Ray doing smashed potatoes, I thought it was just the way she was pronouncing it.

For the longest time I thought it was just a new way of saying mashed potatoes.

That sounds like a goddawful recipe and ridiculous. Smashed potato, she is just trying to come up with something for the TV because she is not very good at cooking.

Tis true. I am not very good at cooking. I would probably be better at it if it interested me, but it does not, not even a tiny bit. I can count on one hand the number of times a year I am actually into it.

You smash new potatoes with a glass then bake with olive oil and salt easy peasy and yummy.
