I'm remodeling my rental house too for my son. Had a guy living there for five years and I don't think he ever cleaned it once, it was disgusting.

I was inspired by this picture that HotD posted so I did everything in gray. I love the dark gray doors with the light gray paint, I wish I would have done my house like that. The floors are vinyl, I thought they might look cheap but they turned out beautiful.

And here's old yeller from the 1960s. I'm thinking they can float over the tile with the same vinyl floors, change out the vanity and sink and all the fixtures, but leave the yellow tub and backsplash and add a glass shower door. I think the yellow tub would look kind of cool and add an interesting pop of color. Everyone else says no way tear it out.

Goddamn you're having all the fun. I used to spend time on job sites doing all that. They were the good ol' days and after looking at all that ^^^^^^ I'm missing it a lot.

Its kind of annoying because my son just bought that furniture, had it delivered before I had a chance to clean the floors and said alright Im moving in this weekend. No! Nobody is moving in there before its move in ready. There is still a ton of stuff that has to be done.

The old flooring isn't bad at all.  But, the new white-washed flooring is gorgeous Sal, especially up against the gray.

I've got hardwood in the new kitchen, stone in the bathrooms, and wall-to-wall carpeting in the rest of the house.

I wasn't happy about the wall-to-wall at first, but now I really like it.  It's neutral color and medium pile.  I'd definitely rather have your new floors though.
