This may interest those of you who are fans of the Boys of Summer -
Former MLB pitcher Roy 'Doc' Halladay has been killed after his plane crashed in the Gulf of Mexico.
Halladay, 40, was a keen pilot whose Twitter feed includes several references to his love of flying - including his brand new ICON MY2018 A5 plane, which was seen floating upside down in shallow water on Tuesday.
But Halladay was best known for playing for the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies from 1998 to 2013, and for being one of just six MLB pitchers to win the Cy Young Award in both the American and National Leagues.

Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs died yesterday at age 27. Rest in peace.
Skaggs is survived by his mother, to whom he was reportedly very close, and his wife Carli Skaggs (whom he married in December).
Skaggs graduated from Santa Monica High School in Los Angeles and was drafted by the LA Angels in 2009. He was traded to the Arizona Diamond Backs in 2010 and reacquired by the Angels in 2013.
Throughout his MLB career, Skaggs was unfortunately plagued with injuries. His cause of death is unknown (or not being released to the public as of yet).
He died in a Texas hotel room; the Angels were set to play the Rangers in Texas last night (that game was cancelled in light of Skaggs' death).
The medical examiner reportedly ruled out suicide and there doesn't appear to be a homicide investigation underway. The 911 call indicated a 'medical emergency'.
I've read comments by people who suspect Skaggs died of a drug overdose related to his injuries. That's just speculation at this point and investigators indicated that more details won't likely be announced until October.
