Is that what is being done? Are they euthanizing dying babies like they would a dying puppy?

I hope not, any sane person would think that should be illegal. But for some reason it'ts a topic now. Seems like dying babies should be treated like any other dying person where you just don't do life support if that's the families wish. But the goverment is not made up of sane, rational thinking people.

The born alive abortion survival act, really? If your are able to survive an abortion I think it should be illegal at that point. WTF?

There are already laws that protect a baby in the unlikely event that one would survive an abortion. This particular bill was more about punishing people involved, the patient, the doctors. Kinda weird to see the very same people who protest new gun laws (just enforce the ones we have is their most common response) now promoting a new law for something that is already on the books. Yeah.

But why should the law even exist in the first place? Once the baby has a chance to thrive outside of the womb which is around 24 weeks there is absolutely no reason to perform an abortion anymore. At that point it's too late. If there are complications and the mothers life is at risk they can get the baby out immediately without having to kill it. A botched abortion law, that's just lovely.

Nobody is killing babies for godssake. It is so rare for one to be born after an abortion that I have been unable to find even one instance of it and I've read the only evidence is "anecdotal". republicans will have you think that women are getting knocked up willy nilly and when the baby is due to be born they are running off to the Dr. to get rid of it. Nope. That's not how it works, not even close but as you've seen there are plenty of people willing to believe that. Regarding your question "but why should the law even exist in the first place". You have George Bush to thank for that. It's a dumbass law for dumbass people who think viable babies are being ripped from their mother's wombs and murdered for no good reason.

The point is that why is late term abortion legal in many states in the first place. This needs to be fixed because there is absolutely no reason for it except in rare cases. Your baby has just been discovered to be a Cyclops and is has no brain, well in that case yeah ok. And I think that is the majority of most late term abortion cases, but if there aren't any laws in place for it then whose to say how many unnessasary late term abortions are performed every year. Im sure there are plenty of them too

Kermit was an exception, it happens. I don't believe doctors are routinely killing full term babies on a regular basis. Im sure it still happens, however. Both sides should be able to come to an agreement that it isn't acceptable, but lets just make a big shit storm out of it instead.

Then pay attention to who is making the big shit storm about it. republicans. You don't see 'em caring about babies outside the womb, only in it. It's not like they care about what comes after the child is born. Have you heard any republican outrage over babies taken from their parents at the border? No? Didn't think so. Their self righteousness only extends to telling women what they can with their bodies.

Their self righteousness only extends to telling women what they can with their bodies. Only the terminally stupid or profoundly immoral pretend Republicans don't care about children after they are born. What evidence of this is there apart from a really brain-dead narrative. Anything? No, kids being separated from adults (that claim without evidence) that they are the parents of the kids, is NOT evidence of this, and the narrative is on its face dishonest, in EXACTLY the same way that saying Democrats don't care for kids because they refuse to let kids be separated from accompanying adults even though they know child exploitation and trafficking is rife and that a claim of parentage (without evidence) is not a solid claim that the "parent" is not a pedophile and/or child trafficker. So presuming that was your strongest counter, what have you got to back the Progressive Narrative "You don't see 'em caring about babies outside the womb, only in it. It's not like they care about what comes after the child is born." What have you got besides spoon-fed Progressive propaganda and talking points. Your OWN critical and well-reasoned thought, Duchess, not what you have been taught to say. You are smarter than that. What have you got?

Roo, I hope you don't mind that I put this here.
I just read that a proposed bill passed the Judiciary Committee of the Texas House of Representatives that would criminalize abortion with the potential of sentencing women who have been found guilty of terminating their pregnancies to the death penalty! What the actual fuck!

Why are they so fucking interested in our reproductive rights? These assholes don't give a shit once the baby's born. How about a law that castrates a man that impregnates a woman that isn't his wife?

Do I detect sarcasm?
Can men become aroused while they are scared or uncomfortable? That seems very farfetched but men are odd creatures sometimes.
