Do you ever give any thought to unfortunate people? It could be for a variety of reasons, I don't have anything specific in mind. I'm just wondering if those who are blessed have a kind thought for those who are not.
The past couple days I've been thinking about kids at a school in Rhode Island who are pretty much being shamed because they haven't been able to pay their lunch tab and now all the other kids will know who they are because they are the kids eating the jelly sandwiches. I have a ton of shit that makes me sad mad and this is one of them.

I've been thinking about Clang lately too and am wondering where he's off to. He need's to understand that if he stays away for much longer the new craze of short shorts for men will have passed and he may miss it. At least before aussiebitch takes off again without the chance of him modeling a pair for her.
all the rage.............

And.....................they cannot afford the lunches because the teachers union has promised huge unfunded pensions to the teachers and administrators. Students are the last mouths on the food chain.

Would it kill them to just put some peanut butter on the damn thing. They give them cheese sandwiches at the schools here, just a piece of yellow cheese between two stale crappy old pieces of bread. They could at least grill it.
There is this homeless guy I always see walking around town with all his belongings and sleeping on benches. He used to work at the 7⁄11 years ago and was friendly to me. He's always looking at his phone like he's doing something on it, but I don't think the phone actually works. How does he have internet on his phone when he doesn't even have a place to sleep. I don't know what caused him to end up homeless, but I feel bad for him.

Charter schools are run much better and they do not do that. The teachers and admins have their own retirement accounts that they contribute to along with a match by the school. They pay a certain amount for health care and the kids get better care and attention. Something public schools have forgotten at least some of them.
Also I see a guy on the corner all the time, when he's done he walks to the gas station and hops in his truck. After he takes off his "uniform"

I don't get concerned; I take action. I have chaired more fund risers than I can remember, Silent auctions, golf tournaments, raffles, hell I even went swimming in the Atlantic Ocean in February several times to raise money.
Quit worrying and get off your ass and lend a hand. There are many things even you can do.

I wrote a letter to the school district about the garbage they serve these kids and they never replied back. They get free breakfast, but it's cocoa krispies topped with chocolate milk. So they're basically feeding the kids a bowl of chocolate for breakfast. What would be wrong with plain Rice Krispies, white milk and a banana. They'll eat it if they're hungry. Plus the dreadful cheese sandwich, it's belittling.

I'm thinking the cats will come to look for his handout but will not get it until someone else sees the facebook post or whatever and takes his place. The cats won't care and as long as someone is feeding them will continue to go to where they were feed. If there is no food there they will go to where there is food. Cat's have no loyalty and are very independent beings. Much like humans but without the emotional baggage.
The cats will get by but the poor bastard that feed them and took care of them might be remembered as "That guy that feed the cats" not quite a lasting legacy but a legacy at any rate. A kind soul and that is at least commendable compared to others. R.I.P kitty helper guy.

Wow, thats pretty cool.
I turned down an opportunity to apply for a job recently that involves lots of fund raising, there are other qualifications that were requried as well, but that was one of them.
I have contributed to causes and I feel I try to help out where I can.It could be me one day.

Yeah totally.
My first reaction to Duchess post was that sometimes I feel I am in an unfortunate situation. I mean I continue to have food on my table, a roof over my head and a job-most of the time. I know I have family to go to if things get really bad. I hate that I don't have a better back up plan or bigger savings if it all really hits the fan.
That being said, I know there are people worse off, or also just trying to make it. I think sometimes I give others too much and don't keep enough for myself because I struggle. So there is that.
I do find it interesting that people are so willing to help out strangers-it is a fascinating phenomenom to watch on social media-even twitter-this guy was in a mental institute and asked for books and he got so many he had to ask people to stop-another lady asked for letters for her dad on his bday after he lost his wife-and he got sooo many letters. Things like that. For some reason it seems easier to help a stranger than the one next to you or in front of you.
