You know you are tired when
#1
...you are sitting in the parking lot looking for your keys and you can't find them because they are in the ignition, in the vehicle that you just started.

I wanted to post that on my FB but I imagined family members and some friends reacting to it like this, "OH NO! That isn't funny! You should get some rest! Don't drive!"
etc etc etc

I was less than a mile from home and I am home now and made it just FINE!

As soon as I get some dinner and just unwind a little.
We picked up 120 7th graders today-that was fun.

Tell me your tired stories please!

My then wife and i decided to move to Bunbury, which was 3 hours drive. Only renovating then selling the home, buying another, getting a job did not all come together as we planned. She was at home looking after my son and was pregnant with my daughter (you know the one Duchess told me i should sexually assault) and i would work in Bunbury and drive back on Wednesday and Fridays and work through the night renovating and doing anything i could outside and catch a couple of hours sleep before leaving at around 4am to get back on Thursday and Monday.

I think the car drove itself. I would quite often get startled because i would be like, "Hang on did i already pass such and such" with no recollection of having done so

I think you left off the part about being tired somewhere......

The 3 hour drive? The renovating?

You know you are tired when you are looking for your pencil everywhere and you find it behind your ear.
or
You know you are tired when you are looking for your sunglasses and they are on your head.

I kind of felt faint and went into denial. But I smelt a rat. Although when you hear what when on behind the scenes, he didn't legitimately win, which is why we were all in shock. Its times like this I wish Gore Vidal was alive. In the old days when I had myspace, he added me as a friend. What a guy. "well, I can't help it if I'm popular". I wish I could debate like him and crush my opponent.

How did he not "legitimately win"?

I had never heard of "microsleep" till a few weeks ago and it explained so much. My job required a lot of computer time and there would be moments when everything blurred and I felt kind of disconnected. Turns out, you can fall asleep for just a second or two. It's a weird feeling.
