That's how electricity is made, the thing in the middle regulates and charges you for it, just like a gas pump. But we have to not see it and believe it's green.

Smelly Smokey Fumes from the Diesel powered cars (and Buses & Trucks) are not tested/monitored in my State's Emissions Auto Testing.

Due to them emitting such heavy fumes they never would pass the emissions test.

Gas powered cars here that spew fumes, require their owner's to spend hundreds (some thousands) of dollars on them to pass the emissions test. Diesel's get away with it!

That's a farce!

It's green because someone says it's green. if it was painted green you might see that.

I used to work for the company that ran the testing program. Dirty diesels were the worst! I am sure I have particles permantly in my lungs.
Our state's program is ending next year.
Does your state do OBD testing?

Too many fumes can cause retardation, huh, Mirah?

Yes.

If for whatever reason, say a damaged connector, and the car is unable to get an OBD emission test, they have a Certified Emission Repair Technician perform a drive cycle conditioning.

LOL
You mean when you pay someone off to have your car pass?

Honestly I don't think it is a big deal anymore. Just maintain your fucking car and it passes. But it sucks when people really can't afford to repair their vehicles and need them for work or other activities.

We used to drive the vehicles on a dyne, that was fun times. Had a ouple roll off though, scary and expensive.

They don't have emission tests in the part of the state where I live. It's kind of nice and saves me a little money.

No emission test but they certainly fuck with you about the "check engine" light. Today's cars could get that even if its low on windshield wash. Or you need a gas cap, but it must come from a dealership. I think Ohio you could have a Beverly Hillbilly's truck. They don't have inspections.

A check engine light should not be coming on for low windshield wiper fluid-maybe you were being sarcastic. It may illuminate the maintenance light.
Missing or bad gas cap is a big polluter actually. You can get a replacement cap from most auto-part stores.

not sure about that with a smart car but I know people that have bought a cheap cap twice and the only one that would work was an original part from the dealership.
