Last week I saw a duck on the water who had a fishing lure caught in its leg. I got a hold of a local wildlife person and we set out to help this poor duck. Tonight we were succesful and with the help with a family who had a fishing net we were able to catch the duck and remove the lure. And tend to its leg!
So happy.

One of my ducks looks just like the one on the far left. She's a mallard.

I can't wait to see what the little golden ducks will look like. There are at least 5 duck mammas on the lake right now that I have been watching. They are so cute.
