What's up with that? Was it just to be able to say they did SOMETHING rather than nothing? It seems half assed at best.

Yup.

Now we purchase oil from democratic countries like Venezuela and blame rising energy costs on everyone and everything except this administration's authoritarian and failed energy policies.

Golly.  Sounds like a war game scenario developed by NATO, the US and Israel, during the Clinton administration.

And that was about oil, too.

More like the Hatfields and McCoys  . . . with international funding and media commentary.

That is so boring. I am so tired of their fighting. One does this, another does that. It's exhausting.

Iran's strike amounted to calling Israel's bluff and destroying it's aura of invincibility. It didn't do much damage as far as destruction goes, but it did penetrate Israel's air defenses and score 2 direct hits on the Nevatim air base, which has the most highly defended airspace in the world. If they can strike Nevatim, they can strike any target in Israel. That's a huge blow to the IDF, which now has to rethink everything about the balance of power in the Middle East, as does America.

This Israeli "strike" appears to be nothing more than a weak attempt to save face with the Israeli public and the world at large. It would seem that the US finally put it's foot down and said no to full scale war against Iran, which Netanyahu didn't anticipate, and I while don't expect he'll last very long at this point, I don't see this as being over because it's completely unacceptable to the hawks that control the Israeli government, and their US supporters.

Yeah, people starving to death and being blown up is just so boring and exhausting. I feel your pain.

I don't mean it like that. Human life is precious. The loss is senseless. It is happening because Netanyahu is a psychopath. He is running rampant hurting as many people as possible because you guys are in an election year and you have to be careful the way you respond because the right wing extreme church goers will go off their heads if you say anything.

It all boils down to one mans madness, Netanyahu. Just like Ukraine, that war would be over if Putin was out of the picture. I hope that Trump doesn't get in, because those Russians will just come into your country and take over. God help you all.
