Work sucks

I'm just coming off a weeks vaca and am not ready to go back to work. Tons of people are coming in setting up business because there is no sales tax or state income tax and they are coming from N.Y. and Massachusetts. They want their spaces retrofitted for HVAC and always say they will pay extra for getting it quicker. They are a bit set back when I say it's not about the money, its production. They say OK and a week later they come back after not finding anyone. I fight with them all the time and I still have loyal customers to take care of. I tell these dopes to get a local contractor and they act like I'm a a rookie with this shit.

I'm not looking forward to going back to work.  Russian    I'm gonna freakin retire. Fuck this.

I have a solution for you.

3 step process.
1) Make a sign which clearly outlines the rules/regs and gives warning about HVAC for spaces
2) Hang up the sign.
3) Point at the sign.

EDIT: When they come back, repeat step 3.

We get the same, a bunch of self important people that think they're your only customer. You know the ones who leave little sarcastic messages like "I guess you guys don't need the business". Nope we dont, there's a hundred ahead of you pal.

Sally gets it. Everybody wants their shit at 7am how can that happen when there are 100 deliveries. Another one is "So and so can do it"  as if I give two shits what the competition does.

It's not so bad when its not as busy but everyone is trying to play catchup now that they are back to work. I'm getting better at laughing about it though.

I get that shit all the time while doing sewing and alterations.    Last year,  I  had a size2 bride come to my shop with a size 14 dress that she bought at Sears bargain basement.   She came in on a Thursday and said she needed it to be done by Saturday for her wedding.    When I told her that there was no way I could take 10 sizes off her 6 layer dress in a day and a half, she had a temper tantrum and told me that I ruined her wedding.

I've also had a woman who was a size 20, bring in a size 8 dress and asked me to 'let it out a bit'  Bitch, I ain't no fucking miracle worker.

I call it piss poor planning. People order off Amazon and get it the next day, go to a fast food joint .......Here's your food. Then when something normal comes along they wait till the last minute thinking someones waiting for them to stroll in. Last minute Charlie's

My husband does gutters and roofing. Guess when everyone needs it done yesterday, when it rains. And it rains everyday in Florida this time of year and you cant work in the pouring rain. And if the competitors can get it done sooner, why are you bothering to call me just to tell me that.

Yeah, everyone wants their Titles yesterday. They don't understand we were shut down for 3 months and still 2 months behind. They even ask if they can pickup their Titles or apply for them over the phone. They don't understand we have no way of taking payment over the phone.

After putting up with people's shit for 25 years, I'm always very thoughtful of anyone in any type of customer service. Unless they totally suck, but Im not out to make anyone's life harder than it already is.
