Yeah, it's a good series. I'm 4 episodes in and I'm hooked. Mr. Miyagi/Pat Morita was the coolest old guy ever. Wax on, Wax off. The Next Karate Kid with Hilary Swank and the Karate Kid remake with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan just wasn't as good as the original Karate Kid movies with Ralph Macchio.

I had to laugh at the "in our 40s" qualifier. Ralph Macchio is 58, and Elizabeth Shue and William Zabka are both going to be 57 next month. I thought it was more of a boomers movie.

Anyway, yeah the series is fun and Johnny is hilarious.

Yes I know. I'm 12 or so years younger and I thought my age group was the biggest fan of the movie when it came out. Anyway this show is so cheesy I'm embarrassed to like it.

Have you watched it? It is so awful, which explains why I'm still up at 2:30 in the morning watching it. It's like the feeling you'd have after eating a gallon of ice cream. It tasted good, but you then feel like puking. I imagine it would be the same feeling as picking up a prostitute as well.

I watched it back when it came out on Youtube or whatever, enjoyed it a lot and maybe not just for nostalgia. I'm a fairly big binge watcher... but I just cancelled my netflix account, so I need to find a new fix.

There's a new series on amazon prime called Utopia that's pretty good so far. The trailer makes it look kind of goofy but a bunch of reviews complain how violent it is. Sounds perfect.
