What's going on, User? Are you settled into your new home? Met your neighbors? Does your son still have that monster skateboard thing you put in your backyard to antagonize your neighbors?

A lot! We gave away the approximately 28’ x 16’ x 6’ tall half pipe we had in our backyard (although my son’s still skating…really fucking well; on his way to professional). Never thought someone would take that half pipe but a roughly 40 year old big kid in a tie dyed shirt (high as the space station) showed up with a screwdriver and a sharpie and took it apart bit by bit over the course of 4-5 days. It was spectacular and we’re glad it went to another home.
Just signed a contract to sell our old house this morning $155k over asking.  Love3 Now I get to focus on the new place. Yeah baby!!!!

I would never refer to playground equipment as "things that made me tough"

I kind of dislike generational arguements because of the relevency. I mean as a kid we had earthquake drills, and there was gang violence sure, and my vice principal wore a bullet proof vest, mostly because he was an asshole, but we didn't have "active shooter" drills in school.

The kids and parents these days are definitely different. Like we walked to school or the bus stop, none of this "parents waiting with the kids at the bus stop or dropping them off at schools" I don't understand that-

And then I look at my mom and her generation, wow. And what she went through growing up.

Each generation is going to be different, I choose to see what we can learn from each one.

I sound so self-righteous, I guess I just didn't have the patience today.
