YES!

When I was very young I had my car painted because I didn't like the Green color it was.

It was a "chain" franchise, called Earl Scheib, they would paint any car for $29.95
The week I went there they were having a special, choice between 4 different colors for $19.95.  One of the colors they had I liked, so I got my car painted for $19.95!

For the price , they did a ok job!

To my surprise, I checked the spelling of Scheib, and low and behold, not only are they still in business they are now "nation wide!

Years later I had another car painted and went to a local premier shop, it cost $4,600
for a pearl glaze bright pure white color, 15 coats! Came out stunning!

When I was younger I was satisfied, and when I was older, also I was satisfied.

You get what you pay for.

My car is 11 years old now & only has 65,000-ish miles on her. She's nearly perfect and I love her. I have zero interest in getting a new car but her clear coat is breaking down and I want to get it fixed.

You know the car, and it's trouble free, so by all means Paint Her! She'll ride better for it!

Just check out the (look on line for references) shop you choose, and when she's painted, your car will look like new, and you'll be proud of her again! Good luck!

I've already got a place picked out. They are known to me and pretty much my whole town. I'm going to ask for 2 quotes, one just to repair and paint and 1 that would be an entire new color. Right now she's red, but I really like this look too.

I was going to do it after Christmas but I had neglected to take into account the amount of time I would be without her so it's going to have to wait for warmer weather.

SAAAWEEET! Go for it, make it that color!

Gray was the color I liked on my first painted car, it was on a Studerbaker Golden Commander

Yeah it was a hot (fast) car back then, it was my first car I bought all by myself, I was pretty proud. (I was still underage, but the dealer never asked me how old I was, so . .)

My folks bought me my first FORD canary yellow convertible car (for 16th BD) I got to drive before that.

I've painted 5-6 cars and got to hate taping them up I used acrylic paint, reducer and hardener. Reducer 50% paint 50% and a 14 pint of hardener. Cost me maybe 120.00 in material and 8 hrs of my time. Mostly spent taping. This was 20 yrs ago though and it probably cost over 300.00 now for paint. I still have my paint chip book.

Looking back, I've always been a cheap bastard. I could do it again, it wasn't that hard just meticulous.
