I have to admit, I really don't have a clue about the numbers there. Maybe the poorer parts of Scotland could be Catholic. Dad was from Glasgow the poorer part where there still is dire poverty to this day. Billy Connolly was also from that part, and my Dad sounded just like him.
I think when it comes to Church of England/Anglican that is clearly a historical thing, where they did wipe out Catholic artefacts etc. under Henry VIII. It's all history of there in the UK. Mary Queen of Scots was Catholic. I only know what I have seen in documentaries. We didn't study it here in school the way we would have if we lived over there in the UK.
