There is a kid out in my shop that invested 3000.00 in AMC he bought 360 shares at 8.00 a share last week.........it is now at 71.00 per share.  Smiley_emoticons_shocked he cashed it in 25,000 clear not counting capital gains tax at around 20%

I'm jealous.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Yes it shot up from 8.00 to 72.00 he made 18,000 before he sold he should have held longer but you know how that goes ........it's scary. Now everyone thinks he's a genius. but he lived at home and had the money in the bank to take the risk and that's how it goes. He had no bills to worry about in fact he still had 4 checks from payroll he never cashed yet. Go figure. I don't have big balls like that.

Movie theaters in general are a dying breed. What's driving up the price?

My oldest used to do that.   Along with checks he received for Christmas and Birthday's.   It drove my father nuts because he didn't like balancing his check book , with outstanding checks that were months old.
