Do people put stuff on the curb with a sign that says, "Free"? They do here.
I saw a doll house once and thought it would make a really cute bird house. But I didn't grab it, because I don't have a yard.
Today I also passed a dresser that was a pretty pale green. And then I saw a squirrel running across the road and I thought that dresseer would make a perfect squirrel home.

Yeah my brother Ed sometimes gets curb alerts letting him know when people put out free stuff on the curb. We've gotten some free toys and other stuff that way.

Yes I put items out at the curb with big "FREE" sign all the time.
Like 2 "Studded" snow tires with only around 10,000 miles, self propelled lawn mower, desk chairs with arms rests, BBQs, both gas and charcoal, old vacuum cleaners. They usually are gone within an hour!

Yes. I see it nearly every time I'm out. I recently suggested Maggot do that with some fence he wanted to get rid of.

That's great. I'm so glad I could be helpful rather than a pain in the ass.
