Of course it could have been better managed, waaaaay better managed. I'm not saying it was, rothschild. You like putting words in my mouth, knock it off. I'm horrified by the video & pictures from yesterday. Jesus Christ, how could I not be.

I'm pretty sure that's what we're talking about here. Mostly. But I am puzzled at Biden's choice to cut and run, given how much lip service it pays to gender equity and the like, especially as that part of the world has almost none. If we had somehow managed to turn the corner, it could have eventually spilled over into places like Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, and many other places that still have one foot in the dark ages. And I think the world would be vastly improved if that had happened.

Is it me or is those poor people desperate to escape one of the most scariest saddest hopeless situations you have ever witnessed. Imagine how terrified they are. They must feel like the Jewish people when they were going to be left to the Nazi's to be slaughtered. How awful. What atrocities. We should never close our eyes or turn away. But by the Grace of God it could be us.

What do you mean "stop"? Do you have any idea how much blood and treasure we invested in this experiment? Why the hell shouldn't we expect that it would be done with the intention of succeeding?

It's hard to express just how fucking insulting it is. I'm sorry for the people there, especially the women, but I truly don't feel that they are our responsibility.

I'm trying really hard not to feel resentful, but when I do it's usually accompanied by guilt for feeling that way.

the media outlets are all full of shit; if they had any integrity at all they would tell the truth and place the blame for this disgrace squarely where it belongs: Bush Jr. and the military industrial complex.

jrs nation building policies were doomed from the start, and the MIC used the policy to rake in trillions of dollars - tax payer dollars.

the fact is - Afghanistan's military was not trained, and wasn't given state of the art equipment; that is why it was left and not destroyed.

Read Eisenhower's farewell address; everything he warned us about has come to fruition.

I don't get why the equipment wasn't destroyed. The only thing I can think of is the current administration actually believed the government there. And that is a far fetched guess. Military commanders have been saying they were not serious about standing up to the Taliban for years. After so many years of occupation they may just want some type of something . Anything that resembles a stable environment good or bad.

because the stuff is crap; outdated and easily defeated by our top of the line tech.

The secret weapon that allowed the Taliban to win without firing a shot is..........Facebook's WhatsApp. Isn't that something?

And yet Joe Exotic the Tiger King sits rotting in jail.

I was watching a Louis Theroux documentary where he met him. They blurred the footage but he shot dead a beautiful horse. That guy is an oxygen thief.

You honestly want men living in proximity to you that are coming from a region where misogyny is the norm?

Women from Afghanistan? Sure. Men? Hell no!

I don't have one single issue with my state opening the door for some families to walk through. I don't worry about Mexicans or any other brown skinned people either.

I can only worry for the people there. It's not a good scene.
