Capitalism is great, in theory, as is socialism, but what you invariably end up with in either case is cronyism, i.e., crony capitalism or crony socialism, because there isn't a single, solitary ideology or social theory that doesn't fall apart in the face of corruption. Not a one. All ideology and social theories are good for is controlling the masses.

Commerce was around long before capitalism showed up, so not loving capitalism doesn't necessarily mean that you don't appreciate commerce. It may, or it may not. That said, I think capitalism has some utility, as does democracy, but they are completely inappropriate in societies that are struggling with corruption.
