As it gets colder at least around here, fish are fighting for food, they tend to eat bigger bait as it gets colder and tend to get more stupid. Trout that usually keep an eye on any movement and will wait until the coast is clear get more ballsee, bigger bait like a nice big earthworm or a big lure will bring them in. They want the extra protein so they can sit in a nice cold cave for the winter with a full belly. That's why ice fishing will bring them out as they see big food and chase it although a bit slower.
So when Fall fishing use a big bait, it will bring big chompers and even smaller fish. Their mouths can open fairly wide as they prepare for cold temperatures.

When we pulled into home port the other day there was a big dead fish and a seagull (lake gull) eating its face. Some took pictures of it.

Now I'm thinking about a fish sandwich from Mickey D's.

You don't want to eat farmed fish. It's the most toxic food in the world.

I won't eat crab here because of what they eat. They are the undertakers of the sea.

I'm lucky to have a seafood market nearby, everything is wild caught and not farmed.

My Butcher box is all good stuff. Nothing weird and hormonal there. All the fish is wild not farmed same with the poultry. I love that thing. They did go up 10.00 this month though. 159.00 now.
But my freezer is always filled. I rotate that stuff.

I was watching something with Cowboy and a commercial for Butcher Box came on and I said "hey remember that guy up in New England I sometimes talk about, he gets that! It was just this morning or yesterday morning. I often talk about some of you. I refer to y'all as my friends that live in my computer. I can never say that with a straight face, I always laugh.

You're fortunate to have a sub, and money well spent.

My brother Ed used to call you guys "my robot friends". Now he plays poker and chats with his own "robot friends".
