Winter Job
#41
Considering that one of the things that brought me over here and away from my family was an unhealthy relationship I was in.

Why do you have no picture for your avatar?

It wasn't a woman.

*edit*
Strange, I see your pic now.

OMG You guys!

I feel so wishy washy in my decision making right now.

I will most likely take the local job for now. The place next to my moms isn't available until the first of the year. (maybe a little sooner) So I have some time to plan and prepare.

I haven't told the remote job no yet. I need/want to have a conversation w/them about the details. It isn't as easy as last time where many things were paid for-such as parking my vehicle in a long term lot, boat tickets, finding a place to stay when I do come to town. It is a lot of added expenses.
Parts of it sound so fun and exciting to me that it is easy to ignore that.
I wish my family were more excited for that job. I appreciate your words Duchess.

My summer job has come to an end and the one that is hiring me is taking too long to get back to me on training dates and details. This is the one in the mountains.

I have started applying for other jobs and am now trying to decide to stay put in this city or move west. (or do both!) Maybe I stay put for now while I work on applying to the ferry system on the west side.
I could also go to the west side and do stage crew which makes good $ but the hours are awkward.

I am sure the mountain will come calling soon enough and I'll go w/ that but it is leaving me feeling frustrated.

Why don't you ever get a lasting job instead of going from job to job?

I can see why it would leave you feeling frustrated. It's very hard waiting on someone to make a move when it determines what your next move will be.

That is my goal right now. The summer seasonal job I had was so enjoyable I just tried to make it work for as long as I could, but now it is time to find a year round permanent full time job.

...and you are so fortunate you were able to do that. You hustle your ass off to be able to live the way you want to live and I admire that.

I am going to make close to $500 tonight.

Why aren't I doing this job all the time? (Stage crew) wierd hours and physically demanding.

How do you feel (physically) after finishing this job?

I know that money doesn't always motivate people. I worked 7 days a week for years and while I really liked the money there came a point where I would rather have had time off.

I am srsly fucked up.

Still waiting, and still working in the arena when they have events and still applying other places.
