Did you ever have a "dufus" tailgating you for miles 10ft off your back bumper when you were doing 65mph (posted speed limit) in the "right hand lane".
Happened to me again today.
Eventually, I just slowly ease off the gas pedal and go down to where the dufus can't stand it any longer (sometimes down to 30 to 35) and finally pulls into center lane and zooms by. (Sometimes they blow their horn while passing)
Funny, it made me smile when I get them to finally pass.

Same.
Sometimes I pull over to let them pass. Also sometimes during high deer season I prefer to be following someone.

Yeah, there is a section of back roads I take where a deer jumped out from behind some trees right in front of me. I jammed on the brakes, and stopped just in time.
So since then, when I go through that section of road, I blow the horn every few seconds. Guess it works, I haven't had a deer jump out in front of me again.

Glad to hear someone else does that too.
I do that on the pass in the area I hit the deer a couple of years ago.

I stomp on my brakes nearly causing an accident and then accelerate to around 85 mph +.

After seeing how people in France drive I haven't had any incidents of road rage. That was over 30 yrs ago and well we all own the road.  Some people are in a bigger hurry than others. You just never know.

When I lived in NY, there was a time when gangs of wannabe tough guys would play a game with other unsuspecting drivers.
The tough guys would drive at night with their high beams on, and then when some approaching driver coming against from the other direction who would "flash" their high beams to make the tough guys turn their high beams off, the tough guys would turn around and follow that driver and cause that driver lots of grief! A few times even ended up with guns being fired.
So you never know, what kind of loonies are on the road.

They love to tailgate here, I just ignore them or pull to the side, don't need the grief or getting the cops involved. I did not notice bad drivers in France, the worst was Connecticut!
