About 50 so far, but it's only 7pm. Lotsa great costumes though and some really cute 3-4 yr olds. Some bigger kids, but mostly medium sized.
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.

Remember the kids you caught stealing gas? Was that on Halloween? For some reason I associate it with Halloween.

I haven't had any trick or treaters, but I would have given them Almond Joy if I did.

Wut??? Even at our old house for the last 15 years or so we *might* get a few groups of trick or treaters. For years the kids have skipped treating in their local neighborhoods and instead pile into cars and all congregate in very small/certain areas.
I don’t expect any visitors at our new house (but I will generously give out candy to any I see). Our driveway is I dunno, 100 yards long? Don’t know…it’s long. Then there’s a gate and a further walk to the front door. I don’t think I’ll see any. :(

hah.........I caught them and made one kid take a sip of gas.  hah I think it was fall but not Halloween. I still laugh at that. The kids eyes went big. He ran after though and never came back. Shit ...that was freakin over 10 yrs ago!

We had about 15 maybe 20. I made stuffed cabbage and mashed potatoes for dinner, I should have given out mini plates of that instead. The parents would have been delighted because that shit turned out good.

Sounds good to me. I’m using Halloween as yet another reason not to cook.

My driveway is more than an 18 of a mile long and it's unlit. I understand why parents wouldn't want to bring their kids up it, they can't see the end so they don't really know what is up here.

Yeah you can’t see our house from the street but I had a friendly skeleton hanging from the gate! Still…we got zero visitors. My parents didn’t drive us places to trick or treat…they wouldn’t have cared about unseen houses and would have enjoyed their cocktails while me and my siblings went to possible death at unseen houses. Hell, I would have enjoyed watching my kids run long driveways.
Just another factor contributing to childhood obesity.
