Yes, the eagles are playing the Celts in the world cup today. Its a hard one to call, what ive seen of previous US teams is a lot of hard work, motivated, pumped up, but a lack of creativity, just like the Wales team. What goes for Wales is that their very ordinary players play in the english leagues, so they wont have been born yesterday.
I dont know any of the USA team. What goes against the welsh team is the generations of hill farmers that have wandered the glens. And to spice up a boring existence, have accosted sheep, with the back legs in their boots, making escape impossible. What happens then is not for a family newspaper. In England we call them the sheep shaggers.
What goes in Wales favour is that they have Gareth Bale, he is knackered, injured, old, lazy, almost a liability. But...... he is world class. At his best he was totally awesome, he could rip any team apart at will. Better than the Brazilians.
If the US can contain him it will be a tight game. The problem is he can turn a game in five seconds, either scoring or laying it on a plate for someone else.
