Kevin McCarthy must be shitting his pants over Gaetz. 

This will be the first (of many) tests related to cabinet selections that will demonstrate just how much power Trump has over the sitting Republican Party. Some think he won’t get Gaetz no matter what; others think the party will fall in line or try to recess. I HOPE some senators have backbones.

As you well know there are a shit ton of opinions out there, one that I have read is that trump is nominating these people knowing full well they cannot get confirmed, but it shows them he tried, another is that it's about loyalty, not competence, they are designed to test allegiance among the party.

Yep and yep. And even though he’s not campaigning anymore I’ve heard some speculation that he just LOVES the media attention. One talking head referred to him as a troll.

Whatever his motives, I’m more interested in the outcomes myself. IF (by chance) he got Gaetz approved (even temporarily), wouldn’t it be lovely if there were massive resignations from the DOJ in protest (for example)? I’m not holding my breath but wouldn’t mind major backlash from those impacted either (from all the agencies where they feel like they’re getting an incompetent leader). One can only hope.

I'm fine with giving RFK Jr. a chance, mostly because I prefer naturopathy to allopathy. If industrial medicine is so wonderful why is America plagued with obesity, diabetes, cancer, etc.? We are not a healthy society.

Maybe. But I don’t think he’d look good in the media if that happened (even on Fox). I think the negativity around it might be beyond his tolerance level.
