Juxtaposing drag queen storytime with armed Christians for the purpose of potraying it as harmless is no different than a disengenuous campaign sound-bite that appeals to fear and/or predjudice.

This is why I don't interact with cookers. They don't make sense. The anti-trans movement is now aligning itself with Nazis.

"if you have to align your cause with Nazi's, then it is not a very good cause". (Geoffrey Robertson KingsCounsel)

There was an anti-trans rally here in Hobart. They had 10 people turn up and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds turned up to support Trans people and shout down the evil violent haters that tried to cause trouble here. The woman leading it said it was the worst place she had ever been to, worse than Chicago. So there's that.

Yeah . . . facts don't support the supposition that armed Christians are more harmful to kids attending Drag Shows or any other event.  That's pure bullshit.

At least according to GLAAD, and specifically addressing Drag Shows.

Here's the link to their website and their report:  GLAAD - ANTI-DRAG ATTACK REPORT

That doesn't address what the meme asserts, that armed Christians are the only danger to children being systematically exposed to a subculture by politicized institutions at the behest of "diversity officers".

What do you think is the purpose of mainstreaming a subculture of sexualized performance art to children? Do you really think it's innocuous?

An armed Christian could show up to a drag show as well an armed pissed off gay guy. An armed crazy person could show up anywhere. The only sure thing that will happen by taking your kid to a drag show is that they'll be exposed to debauchery. Have you ever been to one? May as well take them to a titty bar while you're at it, where an armed Christian could also show up. That's a stupid meme.

Do some of you think parents are taking their kids to actual drag shows where those in drag are doing salacious things? I ask because that's the impression I'm getting from some of these comments.

Save your breath.  It's obvious that neither took the time and reviewed the GLAAD data.  Christians were never mentioned.  Nope.

But hey . . . don't let facts ruin a good tirade based on ideological "feelings".

The meme was to inflame and provoke . . . there is and was no basis for the assertion, inference or implication.  It is purely hate speech by the virtuous intolerant, tolerant.  "Woke" intolerance against religion.

White supremacists and Nazis . . . not armed Christians . . . according to GLAAD.

Drag Queen (and Drag King, too) story time for kids, isn't for academic or literacy advancement.

It is for the purpose of exposing kids to an alternative lifestyle.

Yeah . . . it is.

The meme said drag shows. Drag shows are adult entertainment venues where no one under 18 is allowed in the first place. So as Tiki just said, the meme was for nothing other than to inflame and provoke. And holding a storytime at a public library specifically called "drag queen story time" is for nothing other than to expose children to that lifestyle as Tiki also just said.

I glanced at it, noticed that it looks very similar to the ADL and SPLC, and said no thanks -- but it is fair to assume that some of those perps are Christians.

Anyway, fair point, guilty as charged.

look up Amazing Desmond. His mum has taken him to drag shows, and had him hanging out with convicted murderer Michael Alig -- whom she's obsessed with -- of Party Monster fame. One of the original "party kids", who had an appearance or two on Geraldo. So she raised him to be a "drag kid". Mum had him do a mock strip tease in a gay bar, with men putting bills in his stockings. For real.

A florida school took elementary school kids on a field trip to an lbgtq bar and grill and got them all the "Slap my cheeks and call me Rosie" chicken tenders. I'll take my kids to a bar and grill, but the school isn't supposed to take them on a fucking field trip there. How exactly is that educational? Go take them to Hooters then too. Would the teachers be discussing field trip ideas and be like "let's take them to Hooters, the boys will love it". No because that would be ridiculous, but it's okay to take them to the home of the famous 69 burger?

I never understand how someone else's life and the choices they make about their idenity is anybody else's business. There does need to be more education on this subject as this community suffers much more death and violence than one lone individual.

It's truly difficult to not scoff at the stupidity of these aggressive psychopaths. I think they will never learn, they are angry, they love their guns. The only solution is to minimise their influence and educate tolerance and diversity in the community, throughout the western world, not just the USA.

If they can be attacked lke that, any of us can.

Right. No one has to like it, no one has to agree with it. It's not their life.
