The Antagonist Wrote:Sad part Moose is that anyone can sue you for hurting them in any way shape or form while on your property. Tresspassers, burglars or murders or not.
Good thing that goes by state but the retarded state I live in says you can get sued. Example: A burlgar is stupid enough to break a window and come in that way and cuts himself on the glass pretty badly to need stitches and possibly artery repair. The dumb fuck who was too inept to clear the glass out while robbing me CAN sue ME for his injuries.
Example 2: I had a farm. Posted no tresspassing and no hunting all over. Kept the signs updated too. If someone decided to come steal my horses and got hurt by said horse he was stealing, I can get sued and be held liable for having "an attractive nuisance" on the property.
I did manage to get that law changed and now equine related lawsuits are hard to prosecute as long as you have the mandatory government worded sign on your property and for safekeeping I put one on my trailer too.
Forget dog bites. Unless you got a slick lawyer and can prove that the person provoked the dog to bite (or piss on said leg), you're 100% liable off the bat. Especially in states like mine where you have insurance companies with "bad dog lists" and you have one of those 'bad dogs'.
The list of stupidity goes on. I have said out loud many times to many township cops that if anyone is stupid enough to break into my home and my dogs kill them, I have a meat grinder and dogs eat a raw diet now. I will not go to jail for an idiot. He'll just go missing and no parts will be found. I dont think DNA stays useable in dog shit. Georgia is a Castle Doctrine State. Just post no-tresspass signs and you are good to go. With regard to DNA - just spray bleach from a spray bottle.

Yeah, sadly I'm in the Socialist RepubliK of NJ.
They're too busy being corrupt and picking my pockets. At least they haven't imposed gun control yet.

My house is the last one that anyone wouldgo to. They see 4 dogs growling in the window and they turn around and go to the neighbors instead. The only problem is that the fuckers sit at the window all day barking at everthing that goes by.

we do?
my dog only barks when he's outside and people he doesn't like passes the house (we have a fenced backyard) he doesn't like a lot of people though and hates other male dogs. His bark sounds like he's in pain it's awful. I don't wanna have to go yell at him every time it happens, but I do

I specialize in aggressive dogs, but if you want this fixed, tell the story. One of us will come up with something. They just bark at any damn thing?

My dogs bark at everything. Sometimes one will just start barking out the window at nothing as if he's trying to get the rest to follow. It's like a game to them, but it drives me insane. They bark at the same damn kids that they see everyday. I take them jogging with me and they get plenty of exercise, but they continue to do it no matter how tired they are.

again, it sounds like he's in pain when he's barking it's loud and high pitched
it scares most people, which is good, but I don't want him to bark at everyone

I train hunting dogs and my wife used to train seeing-eye dogs.
Have they done this since they were pups? Do they get any social time with other dogs and/or humans? Sometimes dogs get lonely or bored and wanna check out someone new, even if there are other dogs in the house. I'm working on the same thing with a 7 month old Jack Russell I have.

I'm not quite sure I understand the Saw the elephant phrase... I know a biker that goes by Hacksaw. Scariest motherfucker I've ever met...and I served with some psycho's in Afghanistan.

Saw the elephant is soldier-speak for front line duty; seeing action up close and personal; killing many gooks. Vietnam veterans.

Look him up at 24HourForums.com and you'll get the drift. Too young for Vietnam... I believe I've heard the expression before, just never cared enough to question it though. I take it from your definition that it refers to seeing something immense and powerful that changes your life? Interesting phrase.

Go join up at 24HourForums and read some stories. What these men have to tell you will chill your blood. Russian Wolf, Wheels, Q, JB, Desert Rat, MrPaseo; ask them, they will tell you.
Just be prepared for some hideous stories.
Hell, ask Moose here in Mock; he has some pretty intense stories himself.

I don't need to ask anyone for stories. I served 6 years in the Navy, 4 of which where as a Diver, and nearly all of which were in the Middle East. I worked EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) and DSRV (deep submergence rescue vehicle) commands. I've seen my fair share of combat and death.
