I have a few small piles of clothes OR things hanging in my bedroom or bathroom. It's clothes that I've worn, but not enough to be put in the laundry and they can't go back in my closet. Do you do anything like that or it doesn't matter how long you've worn something it goes straight into the laundry?

I wear clothes until they start to smell bad. The nose knows.

I wear pj’s, robes and jackets for 2 days in a row and wash my towels every 5 days but everything else gets washed—even if I only wore it for an hour. There’s no logic behind that. The exception is when I’m traveling. I’ve learned to tolerate wearing workout clothes twice and generally make my clothing stretch longer. But yeah…the in between stuff wouldn’t go back in with the totally clean stuff because that would just be wrong. It needs its own space.

I do laundry every 2 weeks. Plenty of clothes to last more than 2 weeks. If a jizz/shit/fart in my underpants/pants it waits in my laundry bag two weeks.

Everything goes to the laundry except for jackets, robes and sweaters which I will toss over the chair in my room, but I don’t wear winter clothes very often in Florida.

I do the same.

In winter when I wear 2 layers of clothes only the inside layer goes in the wash unless the outside layer gets actually dirty, but I wear the outside layer a couple times.
I just refreshed all of my wool socks and when I opened up one of the new packages I read that I really shouldn't or don't need to wash them every time. That grossed me out. With these wool socks I don't need to wear double layers. I put them in the wash with each wear. Probably why I needed to replace them after only a year 1/2.
