Two people I know have had thier dogs chased by deer, and they let thier dogs be off leash. I mean-the cat I was watching had interactions with wild life.
I think it is dumb, if you have an animal in the wild it should be on a leash. BUT also, I get it. I don't have a dog so I couldn't tell you what type of dog owner I would be.
One lady has had to go downlake for emergencies more than once for her dog-and once was in a helicopter when it was bitten by a snake (the things that Cars hates)
