No shit, thank Christ that's over. To see my Gramps, I would do anything. Including subject myself to 4 hours of a running screaming psychotic 4 year old 2nd cousin. That little snot is lucky I didn't toss him and his parents off the 3rd floor balcony.
Had a nice surprise when my son opened his loot, though. I got him an accessory kit for his guitar that had all kindsa extra stuff in it that I wasn't aware of, like a slide, and a keychain attachment to put 10 or 12 extra picks in and shit like that. I thought he would be most excited about getting the Capo, but that accessory kit was a home run for him. At least someonebenefitted fromthe day.

Well I got some good stuff. 2 shirts, a sweater, 2 books and other things.
No other time I get those gifts...........I liked it

Christmas day was nice, it was quieter, there was less visitors, and my daughter had a great time.
I got a couple of books, The last remnant an X-Box 360 game I have been hankering for, the first series of The wire on DVD and an aftershave gift set personally endorsed by David Beckham apparently! New year will be quiet, I might actually get very drunk for once!

Sin--cool about your son liking his loot. My granddaughter (age 15) got an IOU from parents to put in the rest of the bucks she needs to buy the guitar she has been saving for. We are giving the kid money to go buy accessories and music for it. She has been taking lessons on a loaner and is happier than a pig in shit about it.
I missed out on seeing my brother again because my PITA sister in law has decided that they are not having people over for the holidays anymore, because it is too much work..for MY BROTHER. Like she would ever fucking pitch in and do some of the stuff. Ever since I got married she pretty m,uch said, you have your husband to spend Christmas with, you don't have to come here. See my avatar? Wish Grinch was sitting right over her head. edit to add: Just in case you wonder why I do not invite them here, I have tried..every damn year. SHE says it is too far to come out (all of 30 miles) and why don't we come out there. Erm..last I checked it was a 30 mile ride no matter which way you go. ::

I am sooo over this holiday shit. And I can't wait for my sister to go home. I find it hard to believe we were raised by the same parents. She shoves this diamond ring in my face and says see what my husband got me for our 25th wedding anniversary? I said is that the same husband that you were getting divorced from two weeks earlier? She was here for Mother's Day and her anniversay is two weeks after that. Whatev...
She is fucked up. NYE's I will probably stay home and chill with the kids. I would rather be home safe and sound than out with the drunks.
