In the new year ! [Image: banana.gif]

For everyone who has expressed an interest many thanks for your continued patience, I have almost finalised all the ifs and buts and have nearly finished dotting the I's and crossing the T's !

Hour Haven should be up and running the week after new year so if you want to familiarise yourself with character generation rules and guidelines don't hesitate to click on the relevant threads and stickies that can found at 24HourForums in the Khaine's Hour Haven forum.

I have to say it.

After you make fun of me posting the same thing at 24 and here (a movie trailer post, or whatever the hell it was) you do the same!

I don't really care, though - I just had to point that out.

Also, I love RPGs. Smiley_emoticons_smile

I don't understand role playing games. So you pick out what you want to be and the game master or whatever sets up the scenario? How does he figure out who does what?

Hello, dipshit. You have to be a member at 24 to play this game, so if you happen to be interested or think you stand a chance of comprehending it, the pertinent info is there.

Weellll then. I wasn't going to look at 24, but I'm an RPG junkie. So, I'm off to see the wizard!

I've read the threads at 24 and I get all the character setup... but what happens after that? I've never played anything like this before... does OP tell you what, when, how and why you do something? Do people take turns and announce what they're doing and get points?

But hey, if it's so fucking hard or inconvenient to explain it to a newbie, forget it.

It will be a points allocation game, the majority of the game will at first take place in the village of Hour Haven itself where you can decide which building/shop/tavern you wish to visit.
When you visit different locations you will interact with NPC's (non player characters) extras if you like who live in Hour Haven. From there you can decide what your characters reaction will be to each NPC they encounter. Interaction with NPC's will open new windows for you because some of them have tasks for you they are willing to pay you for, anything from delivering expensive packages to assassinations.

Points will be allocated on the completion of tasks, good roleplaying, solving mysteries/riddles etc. Those points can then be used to improve your characters skills and abilities.

I hope that makes sense.

You create a new account and register as your character name. Then I transfer you to a limited access deal where your character only has privileges in the Hour Haven forum. This also allows you to have profile info and an avatar just for your character.

Sure you do. How much time could answering customer complaints at an insurance company possible take? Heck; odds are you will get laid off after Christmas anyway.

Why do you have to start all over again?

Why can't you just keep your original character?

Whether or not you reveal which character you are is entirely up to you. You will have a seperate log in for your character at 24 so unless you decide to reveal yourself no one will know who you are.
