OK as you've all gleaned from D and me, we're gearing up to move this site and give it a makeover.

I'm going to start work on remaking this site's look and I want your opinions.

Should I "un-gay" up the icons?

In my opinion they are too happy and cartoonish for this site and it's attitude.

No killers ... the last thing I want is a site that even seems like it condones or promotes violence against people, people on the net, members, etc. Some "flame" sites are known for their physical altercations and problems in that arena. I like that we are several layers away from those sites.
