this always causes a fuss. but the fact is, i form an opinion of a person's IQ by the way they write. if they are knowingly retarded, they can use spellcheck. pure fucking laziness. in my world i have to write legal briefs and also reports that become legal documents. i sure as shit am not going to hand the court shit that reads like third grade. if i interview someone and they can't spell, it makes a big negative impact. we only have a few ways to 'judge' people online. their writing skill being one way. it may bore some people, but to me when someone can't spell i already know they are stupid. nomatter how 'intellectual' they think they are.

Lack of spelling knowledge and grammar is a leading indicator of lack of intellect.

People do judge others by all kinds of things. I judge less on what a person says, because I know some pathetic fucks use pity parties to validate themselves and have others gather round and feel sorry for them. Since anyone can claim anything in this venue, I assume that 99% of what I read is lies. I know too many people who have been caught red-handed in their fantasy life and been proven to be bald-faced lying pieces of shit.
How a person says something is a different story. Some right here in Mock misspell shit just to get reactions. Those idiots are pretty easy to spot. But for those here, and in my other forums, who just cannot form coherent words spelled correctly are seen by me as less than intelligent. For the most basic of words, or forms of words...how can you not know which is proper??? Are they 4 years old and haven't been to kindergarten yet to learn them?
Between the 3 versions of "there" (there, they're and their) they are not interchangeable.
Your and you're. How is it that supposedly grown people do not know that one is posessive and the other is a contraction? It's not even complicated. If you would say "you ARE", then it is the contraction; "you're". Its and it's is yet another.
Yeah; if I see a person who can't spell, they are labeled a fucking moron. Some here in Mock intentionally misspell shit just to get reactions. Those twits are a waste of time and will get no more reaction from me. But if you show me repeatedly that you are stupid and can't spell above the level of a 3rd grader, my opinion of your stupidity won't change.

Ahem, Jackboots? How is everyone to judge someone that consistently fails to use initial caps? Objectively, I'm asking. If I see someone not using initial caps it's not like I automatically think they are brighter than someone who didn't spell something right.

Sin, let's not forget the proper use of the apostrophe. Somewhere along the line we lost how to use it properly.
There is the posessive one:
It is Frank's problem. <<<< see there? The apostrophe is BEFORE the S after Frank making the problem belong to Frank.
There is the plural one:
There are many dogs in the room. <<<< see there? the S after dog means there are more than one dog in the room.
Then there is the apostrophe that makes something a contraction:
It would've been good if Rel Feuk had a brain. <<<<< would've is the contraction.
It's time to go to the nuthouse for Rel Feuk. <<<< It's is the contraction. Meaning IT IS.
And the long lost apostrophe after the s has totally been forgotten!
