Police arrest 'Dark Knight' actor Christian Bale after his mother and sister accuse him of assaulting them at hotel room in London before 'Batman' premiere.
I refuse to believe this.

since i don't know anything about the guy, what makes you think it's impossible? just curious why his mother and sister would accuse him.
You didn't ask me, but I'm going to answer anyway.
Christian Bale has made it a point of staying out of the spotlight. He seems to have a happy marriage with children. I follow gossip and he's never in the news for anything other than movie premieres or other work related stories.
In other words, he's a very cautious guy. Controlled, even. What could possibly have possessed him to 'assault' his mother AND his sister. It sounds utterly preposterous for this to happen to one of the loonies in the news all the time, like Britney Spears. I can't imagine this being true for Christian Bale.

thanks Poopy...i do know domestic violence happens in the best of families, but i find this inexplicable in view of your assessment of him.

It just sounds like a pre-movie exaggeration to make him seem darker and more violent and psycho ... more in-line with Batman.

i am incredulous that someone would risk his entire reputation as a publicity stunt...for a movie that needed no publicity. as i just posted elsewhere, i'd like to read affidavits/police report. it will leak out at some point.

putting someone in fear verbally is assault over here also. touching them is battery.
I'm finding this whole situation really odd. Would you report your son to the police if he yelled at you?
And how would they prove it since this apparently happened (if it did happen) in a hotel suite with no other witnesses around?

well when my son and i would argue, i was the police! ::lmao::
and no witnesses are necessary if the two women filed affidavits. then he gets questioned.
edited to add, there must be some perceived threat, not a mere argument.
I'll bet mumsy was trying to extort some money from her famous son.

Its more than one persons word against another, both his mother
and his sister reported him.
In the newspaper this morning apparently they claim that hecould be heard by staff in the hotel shouting and screamingin his room where he was meeting his mother and sister. He then apparently made a lunge towards his mother with violent intent although no actually blows were exchanged.
He could be done for a section 5 or section 4 public order offence, or if his violent intent can be proved, affray.

maybe they deserved it? I mean he is a big star and people need to stop talking to him when he asks them to.

Well we CAN have the Prime Minister there ask him to sign a contract promising to behave himself from now on.
Just lump him in with the rest of the families of abnormal behavior.
