Well I see a two sided point to your view.

Side one:

Planting the flag on his Limey head is equal to planting the flag on foreign soil. We as Americans do not do that. We don't land grab like the Brits do. Besides it would be equal to desecrating the flag planting it on a 'soil' we hated so much we fought and won our freedom from twice.

Side two:
