Happy Independence Day Jamaica!
#1
Today is the day that the tropical island of Jamaica gained full independence from England.

England pussied out twice here too.
Quote:The English Admiral William Penn (father of William Penn of Pennsylvania) and General Robert Venables seized the island in 1655. During its first 200 years of English/British rule, Jamaica became one of the world's leading sugar-exporting nations. It produced more than 77,000 tons of sugar annually between 1820 and 1824, achieved through the extensive use of imported enslaved African labourers. After the abolition of the slave trade, the British imported Indian and Chinese workers as indentured servants in the early 1800s to supplement the labour pool. Descendants of such Asian indentured servants continue to reside in Jamaica today.

By the beginning of the 19th century, the United Kingdom's heavy reliance on slavery resulted in blacks (Africans) outnumbering whites (Europeans) by a ratio of almost 20 to 1. Europeans feared possible revolts. Following a series of rebellions and changing attitudes in Great Britain, the nation formally abolished slavery in 1834, with full emancipation from chattel slavery declared in 1838.

During the 1800s, the British established a number of botanical gardens. These included the Castleton Garden in 1862, set up to replace the Bath Garden which was subject to flooding. Created in the 1779s, Bath Garden was the site for planting breadfruit brought to Jamaica from the Pacific by Captain William Bligh. Other gardens were the the Cinchona Plantation in 1868 and the Hope Garden founded in 1874.

And then again gaining full independence in 1962.
Quote:In 1872 Kingston became the capital of the island.

In 1945, Sir Horace Hector Hearne became Chief Justice and Keeper of the Records in Jamaica. He headed the Supreme Court, Kingston between 1945 and 1950/1951. He then moved to Kenya where he was appointed Chief Justice.

Jamaica slowly gained increasing independence from the United Kingdom. In 1958, it became a province in the Federation of the West Indies, a federation among the British West Indies. Jamaica attained full independence by leaving the federation in 1962.
I personally have friends who live in Jamaica and have been tehre to celebrate their Independence day festivities.

They celebrate much the same as we do in the U.S.A. - it's a BIG DEAL!

Yeah we abolished slavery! what a pussyass thing to do huh?

Jamaica used to be a successful industrious place, now it is a fucking dump populated by lazy fucks wholaze around all day doing fuck all smoking weed.

It is a good place if you want to buy ganja or want some cheap black pussy to fuck, otherwise it is a crime ridden shithole.

Bob Marley is the only good thing to come out of Jamaica for over 200 years.

It's OK to accept being a loser. It's what England does best.

Steal land, take over, lose it and try somewhere else.

Nah.

Take land, occupy it as a dominant force for hundreds of years, get bored, give country back independence, country transforms from industrious productive jewel of an empire into famine plagued, crime ridden shithole, country asks for charity from UK, UK tells "independent" country to go fuck itself.

What's it like to go from a global Empire to some pussy Muslim-infested, dependent, PC lame land, while watching "feisty colonists" go from kicking your ass, twice, to a super power?

Yes, England is too busy colonizing for their spice and tea to bother with the mess they have at home.

http://england.shelter.org.uk/about_us/who_we_are/our_history

Never-mind the constant photographing and video taping of every one of it's citizens just so they don't make a move without the queen's permission.

Foreigners have more rights in the UK now than native born citizens. Muslims have even MORE rights lest we offend them and upset them.

I'd rather live in my OWN poverty and rebuild myself to something to be proud of than to take from the mouths of others and destroy and leave the mess behind just so you can call it an empire.

America = self reliance. Whether you belive it or not, we don't need the rest of the world to survive, they need us and it's proven daily.

I love living in America and being an American. I only ask for opportunity and I have more of that here than anywhere else. I don't dislike my Country like you do.

England's economy is not only not better, it is dependent upon America. That is why if we go down, you go down - but not the other way around.

Sad ... this is what happens when you don't like your own Country and the only thing you have left are sad attempts to put down the Super Power that you depend upon, saved your ass, and kicked your ass twice.
